How long will I be before handing over my wood?
Usually when you call within 1-2 days. You may have to wait longer when demand is high. You can also make an appointment and go where we are. We recommend ordering your wood in summer or early autumn to avoid the rush in winter.
What kind of wood should I light in my fireplace?
To help prevent the formation of creonous, we recommend burning only experienced hard trees like Oak. You should have your chimneys cleaned and checked professionally every year.
What is the best wood to use for BARBECUE?
Oak, Mesquite, Hickory, and Pecan are all NC Favorites.
Can I choose a specific day and time for my delivery?
We can request a delivery date, call us and do our best to work with you (919) 410-8237.
Are you delivering it to my town?
When you place your order online, the delivery fee is automatically charged and calculated according to the distance.
What kind of firewood do you sell?
We sell decent oak wood and more. Our oak wood is the most popular type. Sometimes we also have a limited number of special wood. Special wood can include pinyon, walnut, hickory, and mesquite. Call for information.
Is there a delivery fee? Sales tax?
If you live at 35 miles (a total of 36 miles for 36 miles) from where we are, your order will automatically charge a delivery fee and are calculated by distance. All taxes are included in the final price at the register.
How do I order from ForestFire Firewood Delivery? Can I make a cash payment or check?
Most of our orders are made online. Our online order is available 24/7. Our office accepts open and orders from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 5:00. We accept only credit cards at the moment.
How much wood do I need for winter?
Everything depends on how often and how much wood you burn. Most customers order a half or full truckload. We can always deliver as much wood as we need.
Did you get your firewood?
Our resources vary depending on the type of wood, but most wood comes from our farm in North Carolina. All wood is harvested using sustainable applications.
Why heating on electricity or oil with firewood?
Wood is a renewable energy source and can save the landlord’s money. Oak has a great smell and creates a relaxing atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
How fast can I get my delivery?
Delivery times vary but usually range from 2 to 4 days from order. In some busy times (cold spells, holidays, etc.) Delivery times can take up to 1-2 weeks. We can’t order a new order in front of those waiting.
How long is the length of firewood?
Our standard wood is cut between 15 and 18 inches. This is industry standard length, so volumes can be measured consistently, and each piece sits correctly on stoves and firewood shelves.
We also have a special 12-inch-long Stove Cut.
What is a quarter cord, half cord, and full cord?
It’s the only legal measure of a firewood. A total of 128 cu ft is measured when stacked loosely. It is usually described as “4 cked x 4 ′ width x 8 ′ a loose stack of wood stacks” long. ForestFire Firewood Delivery sells a cord with facial measurements, for example, quarter cords 4 ′ x 4 ′ wide plus wood width, half cord 4 ′ high and 8 ′ widths plus wood width and full cornea 4 ′ x 16 ′ wide plus measures the width of the wood. 15″ -18″ is cut unless the wood is ordered.
What is a firewood cordon?
A wooden “cord” is a measure of volume with 128 feet cube. This means that using typical 16″ long pieces of wood, wood will be measured in stacked form, 4 feet long and 8 feet long (across) at a depth of 4 feet. the measurement of the cord is cubic feet the volume measurement and is not equal to the weight measurement. Weight, wood types, the moisture content of wood, etc.
Do you have a retail store or location where I can buy firewood?
Yes! Our retail lot is convenient to anywhere in Raleigh. Retail pick-up orders are issued in person (not through the website).
The firewood ordered at our retail collection party is sold at a discounted price compared to our delivered orders.
